Happy to see the Paris Review has returned to uploading videos!
Guess I won't be able to really appreciate the beauty of this poem until my mind figure out where she's sitting on.
You're right! Now I can't unsee it. The sound quality could be better, too. I enjoy her poetry, though.

Why does he talk with his arm floating in the air like he's describing how one survives a knife attack?

Isn't the Paris Review a CIA operated cut out?? Or it used to be, very suspicious founding and founders.
David!! Love You!!!!!!! LOVE!!!!!!!!!!100!!!!!!!!!! ART!! Thank You!!! Val
Is it hard to be published by the Paris Review?
Man, I loved the skill Jamel displayed in his story "Witness." Please don't brand me a racist for saying this, my nieces the loves of my life are mixed, but you lost me when you began to say, "White" people are not being affected as bad as everyone else. We are all human. As I read your story, I instantly added you to my list of "Skilled contemporary writers, but that hurt me, man. The intro opens with action and noise, there's a frantic wondering to it. "What's going on?" Then, you alluded to the narrator having some sort of shortcoming (it would appear) "I'm not talking about that" Again, skillfully forboding achieved. I wish you the best man- you are very talented Jamel. Thanks for the art.
Very well and respectful comment.

WOW, I'd show up to *WATCH* her read poetry anywhere. DAMN. MILF heaven.
Grandfather's bar was torched. Sounds familiar...... That's a scene in Middlesex.
Thanks. Love her work. Proves you don’t need an MFA.
There is something amazing about Gabrielle Bell. From her mannerisms to her sense of humor in her comics, she reveals something about life that we rarely see even though we we have experienced it in some relatable way

As an Englishman, I'm so pleased the Americans have something. I'm not sure if it's an Eagle or an Ibis, but I'm sure it will be kentucky fried.
